AI: Still Life
This ongoing series explores the intersection of traditional still life photography and artificial intelligence, examining how my personal photographic style can be translated through text-to-image generation. AI has an innate inclination toward centered compositions and idealized subjects—tendencies I deliberately work to overcome in pursuit of more nuanced, asymmetrical arrangements.
Through careful study of organic subjects (the gentle curl of tomato leaves, the powdery bloom on a ripening plum, the subtle freckles on apple skin), I am able to guide the AI toward images that honor natural imperfections. Each generation becomes an exercise in close observation, pushing beyond algorithmic perfection to capture the quiet beauty of natural form.
